Job Summary
Evaluate assigned patients through formal and informal diagnostic assessments to determine intervention needs across speech, language, cognition, voice, and dysphagia. Provide direct therapy services in home settings using activities tailored to individual physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities. Coordinate treatment plans with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care teams while communicating progress to patients, families, and physicians. Monitor clinical internships with affiliated university students. Requires CCC-SLP certification or active state license, with preference for 1-3 years of experience in hospital, SNF, or home health settings. Primarily days shift with possible weekends, evenings, or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- CCC-SLP - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or presently active in a supervised clinical fellowship year and certification received within one year of employment Upon Hire
- Speech-Language Pathologist - Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- ~1-3 years Speech Language Pathologist in a hospital, SNF, outpatient and/or home health setting
