Job Summary
Speech Pathologist (SLP) responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating swallowing and communication disorders in adults and children; develop and implement treatment plans, assess for AAC needs, provide parent training for ASD-related communication issues, and collaborate with Clinical Directors and Consultants to ensure effective therapy. Requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification, Michigan driver’s license, and BCBSM/Medicaid certification; position involves working in various settings and delivering culturally and linguistically relevant assessments and goals, including social language and literacy development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certification
- Valid Michigan State driver’s license, current automobile insurance and means of transportation
- BCBSM and Medicaid Certification
- Ability to provide care in a variety of settings and/or situations
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, responsibility, and a positive attitude
- Demonstrate the ability to work well with members of a team
- Demonstrate compliance with accepted professional standards and practice
- Demonstrate excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
