Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations to develop accurate diagnoses. Implement evidence-based therapies for these disorders, monitor and adjust treatment plans, and educate patients and families on daily communication improvements. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans while collaborating with healthcare providers for effective patient care and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings. This PRN role is available in a skilled nursing setting offering short term, long term, and assisted living services in Marshall, NC.
Required Qualifications
- CCC Speech Language Pathologist licensed in the state of North Carolina
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
