Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Implement evidence-based therapies for these disorders, monitor treatment plans, and educate patients and families on communication improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations and progress while collaborating with healthcare providers in multidisciplinary team meetings. Provide resident-centered care in an Assisted Living and Independent Living community in Aventura, Florida, with part-time or PRN scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
