Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations to develop accurate diagnoses. Implement evidence-based therapies for these disorders while monitoring treatment plans and educating patients and families on communication improvement. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed. This PRN role is located at Lexington County Place within long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living settings.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
