Job Summary
Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in California responsible for comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorder management programs. Develop and modify individualized plans of care with measurable, function-based goals; provide skilled therapeutic interventions addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia; conduct clinical swallowing evaluations; monitor progress and adjust plans; educate patients and families; lead discharge planning and support safe transitions of care; communicate findings to physicians and the interdisciplinary team while maintaining HIPAA. Requires CA license, Master's or Doctoral degree in SLP, and CPR/BLS certification. Full-time role in Woodland, CA within a skilled nursing/post-acute setting; collaborative clinical leadership and a commitment to resident outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active, and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of California
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy)
- Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
- Experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, hospital, or related medical setting — strongly preferred
