Job Summary
Conduct speech-language pathology services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and re-assessment across acute care settings. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families, incorporating them into goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in modifying care plans based on evolving patient conditions and consult with other healthcare professionals. Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and accurate documentation of patient course, including baseline goals, daily notes, and progress summaries. Manage an accurate schedule, meet productivity expectations, and demonstrate flexibility to ensure frictionless patient access. Take initiative in directing continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology of an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology
- Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY)
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence
