Job Summary
Conduct high-quality speech therapy services customized to individual diagnoses and needs, including direct instruction, prescriptive evaluation, and evidence-based treatment plans. Monitor student progress using data-driven methods, write comprehensive progress reports, and adapt services to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and educational teams to establish IEP goals, attend meetings, and ensure seamless carryover of strategies into home and school routines. Manage case records with precision, maintain detailed session notes, and submit accurate billing documentation within 24 hours of client interactions. Provide clinical guidance in home and community-based settings while partnering with multidisciplinary professionals to foster integrated care planning.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field of study
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a speech language pathology (SLP) credential
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in providing speech therapy to children, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting
- Well-versed in special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management systems, data-based decision making, and working with children with individualized education plans (IEP's)
- Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders and/or other related disabilities
- Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for children with diverse needs at various levels
- Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL state special education instruction credential preferred
