Job Summary
On-site Speech Language Pathologist delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for adult and geriatric patients. Conduct evaluations using standardized assessments, provide direct therapy, train patients, families, and caregivers on compensatory strategies, and recommend AAC when indicated. Manage dysphagia including clinical swallowing evaluations and collaboration on instrumental assessments with the interdisciplinary team. Document assessments, goals, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EHR; participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, care planning, and quality-improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and resident experience.
