Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Evaluate children for speech, language, and communication concerns in the classroom and provide direct therapy services in the least restrictive environment. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the Playworks team to support student communication goals while maintaining detailed records for evaluation reports and progress notes. Provide parent and teacher education and home programming to ensure progress continues across different environments. Participate in service team meetings to input on student goals and stay current with best practices per ASHA requirements. This Safety Sensitive position requires a Master's degree, CCC-SLP, and a MN license, with one-year agreement and own liability insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Must hold a MN Department of Health License in the area of Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with children ages birth-5
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift children as well as bending, kneeling, sitting and child size tables and chairs and on the floor
- Valid class D driver's license
- One year agreement
- Service oriented
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Empathetic and sociable
- Skilled in identifying problems and brainstorming solutions
- Excellent at written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills for documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
