Job Summary
Provide Speech-Language Pathology therapy and related services for patients in Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care settings. Screen residents, evaluate and treat patients referred by approved sources, and develop initial and ongoing treatment plans of care. Directly supervise Rehab techs during group and individual treatment while overseeing discharge planning and case management responsibilities. Optimize communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing skills by integrating therapy into interdisciplinary teams and contributing to utilization review and family conferences. Comply with state and federal regulations regarding billing, documentation, infection control, and environmental safety. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to Reliant Rehabilitation policies, and travel between facilities during scheduled hours. Work varying shifts including weekends and holidays, requiring the ability to lift thirty pounds of dead weight.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree, or equivalent, in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license (where appropriate)
- Must be able to lift thirty (30) pounds of dead weight alone
- Must be able to travel between facilities during scheduled hours
- Must be able to work varying hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Basic Internet navigation skills
