Job Summary
Provide direct therapy to Pre-K to 1st grade students; conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication needs; develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs); address articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression, and social communication; collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams; maintain accurate records of assessments and therapy sessions in compliance with ISBE and IDEA guidelines; participate in IEP meetings and consultations as needed; educate and support staff and parents on strategies to enhance communication skills; in-person role with caseload and contracts up to 40 hours per week; Chicago Heights, IL location.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
