Speech & Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Conduct speech and language screenings and diagnostic evaluations to determine the need for educational services, then monitor student progress and make informed educational decisions. Assist teachers in developing curriculum modifications and classroom strategies while participating in the comprehensive evaluation, review, and reevaluation process for Individualized Education Programs. Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators to address student needs and ensure effective communication regarding available special services. Develop instructional materials that align with district goals and maintain accurate record-keeping systems for student activities and achievement. Engage in continuous professional development through seminars and workshops to stay current with field developments.
Required Qualifications
- Current ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification
- Possess experience with computer instruction and technology
- Possess the skills and desire to work in a collaborative team with others
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the teacher's role in a team environment
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in the school setting
- Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternate Communication (AAC) Systems/Devices
