Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathologist providing home-health focused therapy on a per-diem/part-time basis. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical services, including dysphagia, cognitive-communication, and other speech-language disorders. Responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing workload, supervising home health aides when SLP is the sole qualifying service, and supporting patients, families, and caregivers in the home health setting. Requires current state licensure, CCC-SLP, ASHA Certification, CPR, and a valid driver’s license; prior experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or home health is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from CAA-accredited program
- CCC-SLP certification from ASHA
- Current CPR certification
- State licensure to practice as an SLP in the applicable state
- Valid driver's license with insured vehicle
- Minimum of 1 year of professional SLP experience within the last 3 years or eligibility for CFY under supervision of a licensed CCC-SLP
- Minimum 2 years' experience preferred, with at least one year in acute care, rehabilitation, or home health
- Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to perform swallowing assessments and speech/language screenings
