Job Summary
Conduct speech and language assessments for infants and toddlers, evaluating feeding, swallowing, oral motor, and sensory-motor skills. Deliver evidence-based interventions based on Individualized Family Support Plans (IFSP) across natural environments while serving as the primary provider for assigned children. Provide caregiver coaching for feeding challenges and lead team meetings to facilitate transdisciplinary consultations and IFSP reviews. Partner with families to implement formal plans, ensure smooth transitions from Part C to Part B, and empower parents through cultural and linguistic support. Complete all case documentation, maintain professional continuing education, and mentor contracted SLPs and assistants. Requires a valid Colorado driver's license and personal vehicle for mobile service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Must acquire state certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies
- Minimum: Three years' experience working with young children with disabilities or delays, including infants and toddlers
- Minimum: MA/MS in Speech-Language Pathology with CDE certification
- Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence-CCC-SLP/Dora licensure
- Knowledge of Part C of IDEA
- Knowledge of natural environments and daily routines
- Knowledge of evaluation techniques and tools as pertaining to early childhood
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to facilitate group meetings
- Knowledge of community resources and supports available to families
- Experience working with young children with special needs, including infants and toddlers, and their families
- A working (personal) vehicle
- Valid CO driver's license (unless active Military family)
- Minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage)
- Must have reliable transportation throughout the day
- Able to lift 40 pounds on occasion
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred: Five years working with young children in a transdisciplinary team model
- Preferred: Experience with feeding and oral motor issues, concerns, delays
- Preferred: Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements
- Preferred: Experience working with persons with disabilities
- Preferred: Knowledge of and experience working with community resources and resource development
