Job Summary
This position is for a Pediatric Speech Pathologist responsible for providing diagnostic and therapy services for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Key responsibilities include treating individuals with various communication and swallowing disorders, instructing patients and families on home treatment programs, maintaining adequate patient records, and participating in care conferences. The role requires a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure eligibility in Ohio, with a preference for candidates with one year of medical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
- Successful completion of a one hundred eighty (180) day probationary period
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in a medical setting preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in both written and oral form
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC recommendations
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of medical center emergency codes
