Speech Language Pathologist - PRN Inpatient Rehabilitation

Evaluate, plan, and administer medically prescribed speech therapy treatments to patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders and standard therapeutic procedures. Establish interventions, specific outcomes, and measurable goals that incorporate patient and caregiver objectives. Modify and progress treatment programs while coordinating care needs with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, discharge planning, and physicians. Provide teaching and instruction to patients, family members, and staff regarding treatment programs, precautions, and equipment use. Document patient activities and caregiver instruction in the medical record timely and accurately. Supervise techs, volunteers, and students; participate in orientation and serve as a clinical instructor. Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure by attending continuing education and mandatory training programs. Notify staff of changes in patient status and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and departmental committees.
