Provide direct speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of functioning, setting appropriate goals, and making discharge recommendations. Deliver direct SLP treatments according to standards of practice, including patient and family education, progression of treatment plans, and implementation of therapeutic interventions. Utilize appropriate documentation forms, coordinate your schedule in relation to patient treatment demands, and demonstrate proper use and maintenance of department equipment. Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare team members regarding patient treatment, progress, and effective discharge planning. Maintain CEUs per state requirements and adhere to all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations. This PRN role offers a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for patients with speech-language and/or swallowing disorders at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
