Job Summary
Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits and develop individualized treatment plans to increase independence. Provide skilled assessments, implement therapy, and coordinate diagnostic procedures like MBSS and FEES with physicians. Deliver education to residents, caregivers, and other professionals, including training on augmentative and alternative communication systems. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, billing records, and timely communication of condition changes while ensuring resident safety and confidentiality. Comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements. Join our in-house team where new graduates are welcome and flexible schedules are available.
Required Qualifications
- Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certification
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
Desired Qualifications
- SNF/Long term care experience preferred
- Current knowledge of treatment practices
- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
