Job Summary
PRN Speech Language Pathologist providing home-based therapy in Albuquerque, NM. Conducts evaluations, assesses home environment, identifies equipment needs for speech-language function, develops a plan of care to improve patient function, administers diagnostic speech and language evaluations and informal audiological assessments, recommends communication devices/aid as indicated, prepares diagnostic reports with recommendations, and educates clients, families, and agency staff. Provides direct speech therapy to clients under a provider’s plan of care and documents client progress to the provider. Requires ASHA-certified clinical competence, current state licensure, CPR certification, and ability to perform home visits with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Possess certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association
- Licensed as a speech therapist in the state in which practicing
- At least one (1) year of acute care setting or equivalent experience
- Possess knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy
- Complies and maintains current CPR certification
- Ability to make home visits and provide nursing care in the home environment
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance
