Job Summary
The speech-language pathologist is responsible for providing clinical supervision to speech-language assistants, evaluating students with suspected communication disabilities, and providing speech-language services to students with Individual Education Programs in the schools. Uses evidence based multi-sensory approaches; develops individualized education programs to meet individual needs; consults with teachers about students with communication disabilities; maintains thorough records and data; organizes the speech program in assigned schools; plans the therapy schedule for group or individual pupils; provides evaluations for Team Evaluations; notifies parents of findings and progress via semi-annual reports; attends TEAM meetings when requested; keeps accurate records; completes individualized education plans when requested; and performs other instructional and general duties as indicated by leadership and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Speech Language and Hearing Disorders - Required
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure – Speech Language Pathologist – Required
- Possession of a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Three (3) years experience as an SLP
