Job Summary
The role evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with speech or language disorders and formulates individualized treatment programs. Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient/resident treatment based on an established plan of care; screens and evaluates residents to develop appropriate care plans; conducts rehabilitative programs to restore communicative efficiency for patients with speech, swallowing, cognitive, or related disorders; administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests; educates residents, families, and caregivers on practicing new skills; maintains accurate patient records and ensures documentation complies with policy and regulations; devises tools and treatments tailored to individual needs; requires ability to travel to perform job.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology
- State license as a speech pathologist required
