Job Summary
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals, then implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities. Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders while providing strategies for improving communication. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. This role requires a Master's Degree in Speech Therapy and an MA Speech-language Pathologist License, with a preferred CCC-SLP. The position is onsite at Nantucket Cottage Hospital, offering a per diem schedule with hourly pay ranging from $35.84 to $54.82.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree Speech Therapy
- MA Speech-language Pathologist License
- Familiarity of diagnostic assessments for speech language
- Employee must have strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures sufficiently to perform clinical services independently
- Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Knowledge of state standards, federal and state regulations

- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology [CCC-A] - American Speech Language Hearing Association
- Basic Life Support certification
