Job Summary
Conduct speech, language, swallowing, cognition, or voice therapy screenings, evaluations, treatments, and trainings for residents across the continuum of care. Implement personal care plans that focus on residents' strengths, preferences, and routines while providing comfort and companionship. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to address resident needs and ensure compliance with Federal, State, ASHA, and payer guidelines regarding documentation, billing, and resident rights. Deliver a holistic approach supporting physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs while maintaining departmental understanding of care provision and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR Certification
- Current valid state license (for state in which the community provides service) in occupational therapy Assistant, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years' experience in working with the older adult population related to the therapies is preferred
