Job Summary
Evaluate speech, language, cognition, and swallowing needs; develop individualized treatment plans; and implement evidence-based interventions for a full patient caseload. Provide patient and caregiver education, manage documentation and billing, and supervise support staff. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referring physicians to optimize clinical and financial outcomes, while flexing to departments where patient needs are highest. Offer pediatric feeding interventions, assess for AAC devices, and coordinate with schools and residential facilities. May serve as a clinical instructor and participate in department committees.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program
- Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice
- Work where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows
Desired Qualifications
- May serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient care
