Job Summary

Assess and provide speech and language therapy for students at assigned KIPP NJ school sites, focusing on developing oral communication skills to support access to the educational program. Develop and implement educationally-based IEP communication goals using various service delivery models, then follow and implement treatment plans while documenting student progress toward established objectives. Conduct formal assessments and communicate with families regarding progress toward IEP goals. Collaborate with teachers to ensure students meet IEP goals by providing individualized classroom strategies and participate as a member of the child study team.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an ASHA accredited university with a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) or working toward completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Knowledge of speech-language report writing
  • Knowledge of formal speech-language assessments
  • Flexible and able to adapt to different school settings, procedures, and staffs
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • A belief that all students deserve a world class education which can be achieved through education reform
