Job Summary
Conduct evaluations to determine speech therapy needs, write valid prescriptions, and carry out treatment plans for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders in clinic, school, or home settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents to deliver coordinated services, while establishing short- and long-term objectives for each client. Provide individual and group therapy services at various certified sites and off-location assignments upon physician referral, and deliver in-service education to staff and caretakers. Complete all documentation in compliance with agency policies, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations, and participate in program planning, research, and student supervision as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- New York State License in Speech Pathology or be eligible for a New York State License in Speech Pathology
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must have demonstrated excellent listening skills
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have demonstrated commitment to performing job duties and tasks at a high level of performance
- Current knowledge of the principles and methods of prevention, assessment, and intervention for people with communication and swallowing disorders, including consideration of anatomical/physiological, psychological, developmental, and linguistic and cultural correlates

Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred
