Speech Language Pathologist, Part-time, Appleton Clinic

Job Summary

Conduct developmental, diagnostic, and treatment evaluations for pediatric inpatients and outpatients with communication disorders, feeding difficulties, or neurological conditions. Implement complex therapy plans for speech, language, fluency, and swallowing issues while monitoring patient progress and maintaining clinical records. Provide patient/family teaching, discharge planning, and case management to ensure continuity of care. Participate in weekend/holiday on-call coverage rotation and attend team meetings. Maintain productivity to support department goals while completing continuing education requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
  • License Speech/Language Pathologist (154) - State of Wisconsin
  • ASHASP-Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council
  • 2+ years experience in speech/language techniques and objectives
  • Knowledge of the principles of neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent development as it relates to communication and swallowing disorders
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients and families and other professionals who function in a team environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience preferred in order to gain comprehensive understanding of speech/language techniques and objectives and to gain expertise necessary to analyze and interpret objective and subjective information obtained through the assessment and treatment process
