Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist for Outpatient Pediatrics providing evaluation and treatment for pediatric speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develops written plans of care, administers individualized therapy, monitors progress, updates physicians and care team, and completes discharge planning with family education and home programs. Responsibilities include documenting per department standards, coordinating with teammates, managing caseload, adhering to billing policies, and contributing to performance improvement initiatives. Requires collaboration with stakeholders, supervision of non-licensed staff as needed, and participation in continuing education; 1+ year pediatric experience preferred, with emphasis on feeding and special care nursery experience. May involve travel as needed and maintaining productivity within site guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program
- State of IL Speech Language Pathologist license (CCC-SLP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
