Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist in outpatient pediatric care at Ochsner Health. Functions autonomously to deliver speech therapy treatment, performs evaluations, develops treatment plans, assesses progress toward goals, and maintains patient records. Contributes to program development to meet patient and community needs and supports access to care and quality metrics. Requires a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology; licensure or eligibility for licensure; BLS; and ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence within 2 years of hire. Strong communication, judgment, and flexibility to accommodate fluctuating patient demand are desired; role is on-site with eligibility limitations for remote work as per stated areas.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech language pathology
- Current speech-language pathology license in the state of practice OR eligibility for licensure by examination OR reciprocity from another state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Certification of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required within 2 years of hire
