Job Summary
The speech-language pathologist conducts evaluations, assesses home environments, identifies equipment needs, and establishes care plans to improve patient function. Responsibilities include administering speech therapy programs, recommending communication devices, coordinating with physicians, participating in case conferences, maintaining clinical competency, and instructing patients and caregivers. The position requires a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, relevant clinical experience, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology
- Completion of a 300-hour supervised clinical practice or evidence of completion of no less than 36 weeks of supervised professional full-time experience or 72 weeks of part-time experience
- Passage of a Board-approved examination
- A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology
- Possesses and maintains current CPR/First Aid certification and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Valid in-state driver’s license, current registration and insurance, and a clean driving record
