Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathologist providing services to students with communication needs in school settings. Responsibilities include planning and overseeing programs, coordinating services with educational staff and families, conducting screening/testing/diagnosis, developing Individual Education Programs (IEPs), planning and conducting therapy to support curriculum, documenting sessions for Medicaid billing, supervising SLP assistants and clinical fellows, and maintaining accurate records and inventory. Requires collaboration with classroom teachers, LEA representatives, and other professionals; strong knowledge of speech pathology theory, evaluation tools, and use of assistive technology; ability to communicate effectively and to provide on-the-job training and continuing education; and compliance with district rules and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA)
- G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction
- Possible licensure from the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (optional)
