Speech Language Pathologist - NICU

Job Summary
Plan, organize, and conduct speech therapy treatment programs in a NICU setting under state practice act guidelines; maintain patient care records, evaluate patient responses to treatment, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Participate in departmental programs, clinical education, and credentialing; support program development and ongoing professional development. Requires a Master’s degree, a state license or eligibility, BLS, and ASHA CCC certification within 2 years of hire, with strong communication, data-entry, and computer skills, and the ability to work within a collaborative healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Speech Pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required within 2 years of hire
- Ability to maintain patient care records according to documentation standards, policies and procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and data entry
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
