Job Summary
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist needed to provide speech and language services for K-12 students in Portland Public Schools; join a multidisciplinary team of teachers, ed-techs, social workers, OT/PT. Responsibilities include assessing all areas of speech/language development, completing evaluation reports and IEPs, citing data for progress discussions, delivering direct instruction, providing case management, developing goals/IEPs, implementing services in the least restrictive environment, maintaining documentation for scheduling and MaineCare billing, participating in Child Find screenings, supporting AAC devices, and managing caseloads including students in programs such as Functional Life Skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Maine State fingerprint (CHRC) authorization (more info).
- Either or both of the following: Maine State Certification 293 (Speech and Hearing Clinician, K-12) (more info) OR Maine State Speech Pathologist License (more info)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
