Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides school-based, data-driven communication services to qualifying students, collaborating with school leaders, SSPs, teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support inclusive practices. Responsibilities include conducting speech-language evaluations, developing IEP goals and service plans, delivering direct and indirect therapy (in-person and remote), supporting AAC evaluations and assistive technology decisions, promoting MTSS/RTI frameworks and trauma-informed, SEL-aligned supports, ensuring IDEA compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role involves teamwork with educators, psychologists, and families, and may include remote assessment/consultation components. Work is based in Colorado with placements in Grand Junction and Montrose; flexible FTE-based scheduling is described depending on student enrollment and service needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license and/or CDE Special Services Provider license
- Experience providing school-based speech-language services to students with disabilities
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with AAC systems, autism supports, and language-based interventions
