Job Summary
Plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and implement individualized and group therapy sessions according to Individual Education Plans (IEP). Consult with colleagues, parents, and students to achieve therapy goals and enhance communication skills. Participate in evaluation and coordination of programs, manage student behavior, and ensure compliance with district policies. Maintain records, supervise assistants, and develop professional development for school staff.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
- Valid license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) or Bachelor's degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate
- One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience
