Job Summary
Evaluate, screen, and conduct medically prescribed speech therapy for pediatric patients in home health settings. Direct patients and caregivers through selected tasks to reinforce performance while performing evaluations of receptive language, speech fluency, and articulation skills. Coordinate care with office staff, maintain records, and consult with physicians on patient progress. Provide family training, refer patients to appropriate resources, and participate in Quality Assurance and mentoring programs. Maintain adequate caseloads and attend continuing education activities. Requires a Master's degree, current licensure, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state-issued professional licensure
- Valid state driver license
- CPR certified
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric clinical experience preferred
- Home health experience preferred
- Ability to read and write in simple correspondence with effective public speaking in small groups
- Excellent critical thinking and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instruction with the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping and routine database activity
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
