Job Summary
Evaluate pediatric patients for receptive and expressive language, speech fluency, and vocal competence, then conduct medically prescribed therapy and caregiver training in home settings. Coordinate care with physicians and office staff, maintain records, and refer families to appropriate resources. Manage caseloads while participating in Quality Assurance programs, mentoring new hires, and attending continuing education. Serve as backup for other caseloads as needed. Maintain supplies and equipment while adhering to all company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state-issued professional licensure
- Valid state driver license
- CPR certified
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric clinical experience preferred
- Home health experience preferred
- Ability to read and write in simple correspondence with effective public speaking in small groups
- Excellent critical thinking and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instruction with the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping and routine database activity
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
