Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Conduct medically prescribed speech therapy for pediatric patients in home health settings, including screenings, evaluations of receptive/expressive language and speech fluency, and direct treatment. Direct patients and caregivers in selected tasks to reinforce performance while coordinating care with office staff and other disciplines. Maintain appropriate communication regarding progress and home programs, consult with physicians on patient progress, and refer families to appropriate services and resources. Manage supplies, equipment, and caseloads while participating in Quality Assurance, mentoring students, and attending continuing education. Serve as backup service provider as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state-issued professional licensure
- Valid state driver license
- CPR certified
- Ability to read and write in simple correspondence
- Effective public speaking in small groups
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instruction
- Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to record keeping
- Ability to perform routine database activity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric clinical experience preferred
- Home health experience preferred
