Speech/Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Accept referrals for children exhibiting communication disorders and conduct individual, multidisciplinary, or trans-disciplinary screenings and evaluations. Generate evaluation reports and develop, review, or revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in coordination with parents, teachers, and other personnel. Provide appropriate intervention levels including individual, group, classroom-based, or community-based services for eligible students. Consult with stakeholders regarding communication disorder management and the connection between language development and literacy. Fluency or bilingual Spanish skills are encouraged given the diverse student population. A valid Pennsylvania driver's license and state certification are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
- Pennsylvania certification as required by the Department of Education
- Experience working with and evaluating students with special needs/developmental delays and with developing and implementing educational programs
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Clearance as a provider by both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal government
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Credentials necessary for participation in the School-Based ACCESS Program
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competency
- Post-graduate coursework with a focus on communication and reading/literacy
- Fluent or bilingual status (specifically Spanish)
