Job Summary
Position responsible for the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients of all ages with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders of functional or neurological origin, to facilitate the development and maintenance of human communication and swallowing ability. Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers. Under supervision of an ASHA-certified and state-licensed Speech Language Pathologist, performs complete evaluations, develops goals and a comprehensive plan of care, and implements a speech/language pathology treatment program. Communicates effectively with patient, family, and professional colleagues; maintains timely documentation and adherence to policies; participates in ongoing professional development and clinical education efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited university-based speech/language pathology program
- Current intern license to practice speech/language pathology by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology for Texas
- Current Certification in Basic Life Support
