Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and related abilities. Create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals. Provide extensive education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication or swallowing disorders, prognosis, therapy techniques, and home practice strategies. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care. Provide top-of-scope direct patient care procedures while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
