Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and related abilities to create and execute personalized therapy plans. Provide extensive education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication or swallowing disorders, prognosis, and home practice strategies. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Deliver top-of-scope practice in direct patient care while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Maintain current Colorado certification and BLS certification through the start date and sixty days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
