Speech-Language Pathologist (in our Mobile Classroom)

Job Summary
Provide therapy services during Mobile Classroom sessions using a transdisciplinary approach, collaborating with teachers to plan engaging activities that support each child's developmental goals. Prepare and lead therapeutic sessions while coaching parents and modeling strategies for caregivers and volunteers. Assist with curriculum development, staff training, and community engagement, including representing Little Light House at events and contributing to educational content. Communicate student progress and home strategies to families via Brightwheel. Requires an Oklahoma license as an OT, PT, or SLP, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license to operate the Mobile Classroom vehicle. Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for 44 weeks per year.
Required Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma license as an Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Current CPR certification
- At least one year of experience working with children with special needs (birth through age six preferred)
- Experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Demonstrates a neuro-affirming, child-centered approach to therapy
- Current on required continuing education and committed to ongoing professional development
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate the Mobile Classroom vehicle and trailer
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Confidence teaching and supporting families, staff, and volunteers
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for trainings and special events
- Commitment to the mission, values, and Christian ministry of Little Light House
