Job Summary
Speech-Language Pathologist in SoonerStart provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays/disabilities in the child’s natural environment (home, childcare, community settings). Responsibilities include conducting intakes and assessments, developing and implementing IFSP-based plans, coaching families, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, performing hearing screenings, maintaining progress notes and evaluations, and ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations. Positions require master’s degree in speech pathology and ASHA certification (Level II/III as applicable) and entail services ranging from screening to comprehensive language, social communication, feeding/swallowing interventions, with telework optional and office presence as an essential function.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech pathology or equivalent
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for Levels II and III; clinical certification or eligibility as required by ASHA
- Experience requirements vary by level: Level I includes training and practicum for certification; Level II requires ASHA certification; Level III requires ASHA certification plus 3 years post-certification experience
