Job Summary
Conduct weekly speech, language, and swallowing evaluations for children aged 0–3 with developmental delays. Schedule and execute home visits across San Diego and Imperial counties to implement Individual Family Service Plans and treatment goals. Coordinate ongoing communication with families and the interdisciplinary team while maintaining comprehensive documentation, intake paperwork, and educational resource files. Provide research-based resources and conduct outreach to support family needs. Requires current California SLP license, CCC, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Current license from the State of California Speech-Language Pathology Board
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an educational program accredited by The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Minimum one (1) year SLP experience
- Minimum one (1) year pediatrics experience (birth to 5 years of age)
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire
- Must receive criminal record clearance from DOJ
- Must have valid California Driver's license, safe driving record, and have been licensed to drive at least 2 years
- Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance
- Must obtain CPR/FA certification if not already certified
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Collaborative-minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to form positive, supportive, and professional working relationships
- Detail-oriented with ability to ensure accuracy of program documents and paperwork
- Ability to manage work time efficiently and meet deadlines without close supervision
- Ability to maintain cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with differing attitudes and lifestyles
- Must be able to see, talk, hear, walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift objects weighing up to ten pounds repeatedly during a shift
