Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities, administering diagnostic tests and interpreting results to treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing. Develop and review Plans of Treatment and Care, observe patient responses, and submit timely documentation including evaluations, care plans, and progress reports. Provide instruction on alternative communication systems and counsel patients, families, and healthcare staff while participating in discharge planning and care coordination. Maintain confidentiality and complete required continuing education. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Home Health experience a plus
- A valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
