Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing evaluations while developing and implementing individualized plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders. Provide skilled treatment to improve communication, cognitive-linguistic function, and swallowing abilities, and educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, techniques, and safety precautions. Monitor patient progress to modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate, complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company, Medicare, and regulatory requirements, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements. This per diem/PRN field-based role offers flexible scheduling and competitive per-visit rates for a growing organization in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, Florida.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and unrestricted Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel to patients' homes within the assigned service area
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with the care team

Desired Qualifications

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Home health experience
  • Experience working with adult and/or geriatric patients
