Job Summary
Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders by creating individualized therapy plans for diverse patient populations. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders and educate patients and family members about conditions, causes, and disabilities. Keep detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, and progress while reporting status to family, teachers, or medical professionals. Maintain active Hawaii licensure, complete clinical fellowship requirements, and utilize EMR systems for timely documentation. This part-time role is based in Pearl City, HI, with competitive per-visit pay and reduced charting time.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-language Pathology
- Attentive and caring with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under supervision of a licensed professional
- Active Hawaii Speech & Language Pathologist license
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Speech and Language Pathology
- Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments
- Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, especially patient and healthcare databases
- Reliable Transportation and Auto Insurance
- CPR Certification
- Good computer skills and ability to complete EMR documentation in a timely manner
