Job Summary
Evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in homes or facilities. Administer diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments for disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing. Participate in developing and reviewing Plans of Treatment and Care, while observing and reporting patient condition changes to supervisors and physicians. Provide instruction on alternative communication systems and counsel patients, families, and healthcare staff. Maintain documentation, submit written reports, and engage in care coordination and discharge planning. Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and complete required continuing education. Requires a current unrestricted license, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months experience as a speech therapist / speech language pathologist
- Current and unrestricted license
- Current CPR certification
- Good organizational and communication skills
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
